Services · Heavy items

One heavy thing, carried right.

The sleeper sofa that won't make the turn. The treadmill going up to the spare room. The dresser from Marketplace sitting in the bed of your pickup. Book two people for the lift, not a whole day.

Sizing it

  • A sleeper sofa up one flight of stairs: two people, 2 hours or less.
  • A treadmill and a dresser upstairs, then the living room rearranged: three people, 2 hours or less.

Not sure? Call (954) 280-0099 and describe it. We’ll suggest a crew and a block of hours, and say so if it looks like more.

Charged once, when your crew is confirmed. Nothing before that.

  • The full amount is charged when the booking is made. Not a hold, not an estimate.
  • Nothing is owed on site and nothing is paid to the crew directly. The only additional charge possible is an upgrade you approve on site.
  • If the job finishes early, the tier is not prorated.
  • If the job reaches the ceiling, the crew stops. You may upgrade to the next tier for the difference, if the crew is able to stay. 5 hours is the longest block we book.
  • Free cancellation until 24 hours before the start. 50% inside 24 hours. Full charge if the crew arrives and cannot access the job. If we can't field your crew, full refund plus a $50 credit.

What the crew does

  • Carrying a single heavy item between rooms or up and down stairs
  • Getting a large piece off your pickup or trailer and into the house
  • Rearranging a room's worth of heavy furniture
  • Carrying a disconnected appliance to where it needs to go

Limits, stated up front

  • Appliances must already be disconnected. The crew doesn't disconnect, connect, or install anything.
  • If an item needs rigging, a crane, or specialist equipment, it's outside what we do. Tell us what it is before you book and we'll say so plainly.
  • The crew doesn't drive your pickup or trailer.

You supply

Dollies, straps, or blankets if the item needs them, and the item disconnected and clear to lift. The crew brings work gloves.

Questions about heavy items

Is one person enough?
For anything a single adult can't lift safely, book at least two. The crew won't attempt a lift that needs more hands than you booked.
What if the item won't fit through the door?
The crew will try the angles, but won't take doors off hinges or remove railings. If it can't go through safely, they stop, and you pay only for the block you booked.
