Privacy policy
Effective September 19, 2026
Prompt Hands books crews for labor-only work in Broward County, Florida. This policy explains what we collect from customers who book a crew and from people who apply to work with us, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how to have it erased. Questions go to hello@prompthands.com.
1. What we collect when you book
You give us this directly through the booking form. We ask for nothing we do not need in order to send a crew to the right place at the right time.
- Your name, mobile phone number, and email address.
- Whether the booking is for a business, and if so the company name.
- The job address, including the ZIP code, which we check against the ZIP codes we cover.
- The date and arrival window you choose.
- What the job is: the type of work, the size of crew, the block of hours you reserve, whether there are stairs or an elevator, and any access instructions you write for us.
- Whether you checked the box asking us to text you about the booking, and the date and time you checked it.
- The version of the terms you accepted and the date and time you accepted them.
- After the job: its status, the times the crew started and finished, and any notes the crew recorded.
Card details never reach us. Payment happens on Stripe’s own checkout page. We receive a payment reference and the amount. We never see or store your full card number.
We do not require an account. There is no customer login and no password to lose.
2. What we collect when you apply to work with us
Through the application form:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and ZIP code.
- Whether you have your own vehicle, your work experience, the days and times you are available, and the language you prefer.
- How you heard about us.
- The date and time you were shown the background check disclosure, and the date and time you gave separate written authorization for that check.
Background checks. If you authorize one, we pass what the check requires to our screening vendor, Checkr, which runs it and reports back. We keep the result status and a reference number. The disclosure is shown on its own screen and your authorization is a separate step, as federal law requires. You can decline, and you can withdraw an application at any time.
If we go on to engage you, we also keep the records that working relationship requires: your signed independent contractor agreement and its version, tax forms, the payment handle you ask us to pay, and a count of jobs worked.
3. What we collect automatically
Our host keeps standard server and security logs — the IP address a request came from, the time, and the page requested. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers on this site, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. How we use it
- To schedule your job, check that we have a crew free for it, and charge the agreed amount.
- To tell the assigned crew where to go and what the job involves.
- To send the booking confirmation, reminders, and updates you asked for, by text, by email, or both.
- To answer you when you call, text, or email us.
- To screen, engage, schedule, and pay the people who do the work.
- To keep the tax, payment, and dispute records a business has to keep.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
5. Text messages
Agreeing to texts is never a condition of booking. Leave the box unchecked and the booking still works — we write to you by email instead. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. The full terms are on the text message terms page.
7. How long we keep it
We keep booking and worker records for as long as we need them for the purposes above, and longer where tax, payment, insurance, or other legal obligations require it. An application that does not become a working relationship is kept only as long as the applicable hiring and screening rules require, then erased. Our vendors keep their own records under their own terms, which a request to us cannot override.
8. Seeing, correcting, or erasing your information
Email hello@prompthands.com and say what you want: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or erasure. Write from the email address on your record, or from the mobile number on it, so we can tell it is you. We do not charge for this and we do not treat you differently for asking.
We will erase what we are not required to keep. Where a record has to stay — a completed payment, a tax record, an open dispute — we will say so and tell you why. Erasing your record does not undo a charge or a refund already processed.
Stopping texts is faster than an erasure request: reply STOP to any message and every queued message for your number is cancelled.
9. Children
This is a service for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, write to us and we will erase it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we change the effective date at the top. The terms you accepted at the time of your booking are recorded with that booking and do not change retroactively.
